H2Ocean Piercing Products

Piercing Spray

H2Ocean Piercing Spray

The combination of sea salt and lysozyme creates the optimal solution to reduce the healing time and help eliminate adverse issues that commonly arise when dealing with a new piercing. Shorter healing times occur when naturally optimal healing environments are promoted rather than using harsh soaps and chemicals that destroy beneficial bacteria.

Bag In A Can Barrier System

The H2Ocean patented sea salt formula is packaged under sterile conditions and our state-of-the-art can contains an interior lining which prevents bacteria or any other airborne particles from contaminating the contents.

Mouthwash - Arctic Ocean & Lemon Ice

H2Ocean Arctic Rinse and Lemon Ice mouthwashes were designed to help heal and protect new oral piercings without using harmful chemical solutions. Our alcohol and fluoride free mouthwashes will allow you to rinse regularly with the only sea salt based mouthwash containing natural antibacterial enzymes. The days of mixing a salt solution and the dreaded taste of these mixtures are over.

H2Ocean’s mouthwash formulas are enriched with the ingredient xylitol. Xylitol is a natural sweetener found in fruits and vegetables and is also produced naturally by the human body in small amounts. It helps to prevent dry mouth, strep from grouping and plaque from staining teeth. Our mouthwashes are available in two refreshing flavors: Wintergreen and Lemon. Rinsing with sea salt water has never been easier or more enjoyable.

Aftercare Body Piercing

H2Ocean Cleaning Instructions - Body

  • Wash your hands with anti-bacterial soap.
  • Rinse the piercing with warm water to break up any crusty material that has formed around the jewellery. Wipe the crusty material off with a cotton swab.
  • Spray directly on pierced area and allow solution to dry and absorb into the skin. The enzymes in H2Ocean’s formula will start attacking the cell walls of bad bacteria and continue fighting off bacteria for up to 4 to 5 hours. Remember H2Ocean formula does not harm any good bacteria essential to healing the body. The natural sea salt, which contains essential minerals, then goes to work feeding your body what it needs to nourish cells and increase cell regeneration. H2Ocean is the only aftercare formula that contains an antibacterial enzyme and healing agent.
  • Recommended use is 3 to 6 times per day. H2Ocean’s piercing aftercare spray can also be used as a sea salt soak when needed for infections, keloids and other irritations.

Helpful Tips to Consider During Healing

  • Don’t play with your piercing, don’t let anyone else touch, kiss or lick your piercing until it is fully healed.
  • Do not wear any restricting clothing over the piercing and wash your sheets once a week.
  • Don’t listen to your friends if you have questions concerning your piercing, drop by or call us. We are professionals and want your piercing to heal.

What You Can Expect From Your New Oral Piercing

Swelling of the area is normal with any new oral piercing. Ice and an anti-inflammatory (like Advil) will help keep the swelling down. Sleeping with your head slightly elevated will aid in reducing swelling as well. Most swelling will last only 3 - 5 days, bleeding periodically and slight bruising is also normal. You may also experience periodic aching, pinching and tightness, as well as other unpleasant sensations. This should only last a few days.

Helpful Tips to Consider During Healing

  • If you need to touch your piercing, always wash your hands first!
  • Don’t play with your piercing, don’t let anyone else touch, kiss or lick your piercing until it is fully healed.
  • Avoid spicy, acidic, salty and hot (temperature) foods and beverages for a few days.
  • Reducing smoking or quitting during the healing time is recommended.
  • Take your time eating, slow small bites.
  • Don’t listen to your friends if you have questions concerning your piercing, drop by or call us. We are professionals and want to your piercing to heal.

Note

It is normal for whitish-yellow fluid to discharge from the piercing area. This discharge is a mixture of blood plasma, lymph and dead cells. This is what may form a crust on the piercing. This is not puss, but does however indicate a healing piercing.

Chemicals Will Not Help You Heal

Any product that contains an “active ingredient” is not going to help you heal. Alcohol, iodine, hibitain, bactine, bacitracin, Polysporin, Neutrogena, antibacterial soap, peroxide and any other chemical based cleaner will slow down the healing process. Chemicals kill the new cells that form to help heal the piercing, resulting in the piercing remaining an open wound for longer, therefore increasing the chances of complications.

Cleaning The Old Fashioned Way

Body Piercing
soap
  • Wash your hands with anti-bacterial soap.
  • Rinse the piercing with warm water to break up any crusty material that has formed around the jewellery.
  • If you must wash your piercing, use a mild glycerin based soap. Do not turn the jewellery; it may slide bacteria into the piercing. Rinse well to remove all soap.
  • Rinse the area with sterile saline solution, preferably from a pressurized can to maintain sterility.
  • Rinse the area with sterile saline solution three additional times per day.
  • Another method is to take a small amount of saline solution in a cup and microwave until warm. Soak the piercing in the warm saline solution for 5-10 minutes then pat dry.

Oral Piercing

soap
  • Rinse mouth for 30-60 seconds with an alcohol-free mouthwash (watered down 50%) after meals for the entire healing time. Do not use more than 4 - 5 times a day.
  • Rinse mouth briefly for 10-15 seconds with saline solution. Do not repeat this step more than twice a day as cleaning too often will result in discoloration of the tongue.
  • An alternative to saline is non-iodized sea salt. A ¼ tsp. sea salt should be diluted in 1 cup warm water.
  • Scrub the jewellery with a new soft toothbrush to keep plaque from forming on it.
